Order to delivery time

It is going to Murray Kia.

One more question. I talked to the dealer today and he said he sees this car coming around the end of December. He went on to say that the vin # I was given may change because Kia may reassign the car to another dealer. This didn't sound right to me. Have you heard of this happening? Where is he looking that he can see my car coming in December?

I have not heard of this before but something could be happening with that specific Vin since it isn’t pulling right internally. Best to communicate with that exact dealer and update if they give you another Vin number and I can check on that one.

Odd, I didn’t think KFOS opened for November until this upcoming week. And I thought you typically got an ETA after Kia accepted 🧐

That's quick! I put in my order like two months ago and am still waiting. Been told I've got another month to go. I would normally complain about how long the wait is, but some folks on this forum have waited close to a year. Wow.

We have 3 dealers in ND. When I search the last 50 cars for ND on Failcat, one dealer had 32 and the other 2 combined for 18. The breakdown for the last 25 is 17 and 8. One of the dealers gets 2 or 3 a month.

With Kia dealers being 100-200 miles apart for us here, many people only shop local. It's kind of insane, Fargo has a metropolitan area of like 250k people and we don't have multiple dealerships for any brand. Bismarck has two Ford dealers and two Chevy dealers, their metro is half the size. Otherwise, there's no competition around here, you probably have to drive an average of 50 miles to get to another dealer of the same brand in ND and the small towns basically have Ford and Chevy.

I think that people at these low volume dealers will just sit and wait forever if they're not proactive.
