If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. SX Headlights

I adjusted mine lower and they are still better than any headlights of any of the cars I have owned. This is actually better because the brights actually do light up the road now instead of the trees. I actually use the auto brights now.
I normally drive a 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Talk about driving in the dark. Worst headlights possible (they started using LEDs in 2017 I think). They may actually be worse than my 2004 Honda Accord. So driving the Telluride at night was eye opening to see how bright the lights are.

My last two cars have had good lights (HID).

I have really high expectations given the praise I keep hearinghere about the SX.

Here’s the letter about the Headlight aim, I received it this week. I picked up my Telly back in December and from week 1 I could tell the Headlight aim was too high...I mean I could see drivers faces in sedans clearly at night. I thought it was just my Telly but clearly it’s a thing lol oops 😅. I’m just buy one of those Torx bits and adjust it my self like another forum member mentioned

I got it too but have already adjusted mine. I will let them readjust them to their specs and see how far off I was on my adjustment. I bet it's pretty close.

Curious. When did you pick your Telluride up? I got mine at the end of January. No notice yet.
I think this is only for the SX, so if you don't have an SX, you might not get one.

We have an SX. It's definitely high. My wife doesn't tend to drive very much at night, so it's not a huge issue. I could take it out and adjust it myself as we've discussed.

Since I bought my Telluride SX on 11 Dec there has not been a single day that oncoming drivers have not flashed their brights at me, pre-dawn and after sunset. I drive 33 miles one way thru the "country dark" and I believe the low beams ARE hurting the eyes of other drivers. Happens about 4 to 10 times each way. This weekend Kia Corporate HQ sent a notice saying Kia will adjust the aim of the headlamps at no charge, in order to properly aim and focus, and to reduce glare to oncoming traffic. I am glad because I do not want to be on the receiving end of road rage, or to endanger others.

Ya interesting my wife complains about getting the high-beam "flash" from oncoming drivers quite frequently.
I drove in front of her and realized the LEDs are quite bright and the beam is generally pointing higher. I think that is a function the the 2-stack projector lights sitting higher.
I agree that some motorists will think 2 projections = High beam.

I will try to adjust and maybe avoid some of these reactions without compromising safety.

For comparison we had a 2016 Volvo XC90 with LEDs with no flash from oncoming drivers in 3 years of ownership.

We have a Telluride SX with LED headlights. We constantly have oncoming cars flashing us thinking our brights are on. This is even with the fog lights switched off. Anyone else having this same issue. Wondering if the dealer might be able to adjust the angle if the beams. We’d appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
Do you have the limited edition of the SX trim model?

Have the same issue with my Telluride, worst was going two lane highway to the coast. Probably flashed by 30 people, felt bad. Did we come up with a solution besides removing the OEM lights for LED or driving with fog lights on?

Take it to your dealer to have then aim it lower if it is aimed too high from factory.

PI 2001 - Product Improvement Campaign 202001 - LED Headlamp Aim Inspection

Or do it yourself using a Torx T-60 driver. Aim against a building or garage door. When you are about 10 feet away, the beam is about 3 feet off the ground.

If other drivers still flash you after that, just turn your high beams on at them to really make it shine.

Hello Telluride family 👋.
I just picked up my 2020 SX Prestige on Saturday. LOVE IT!
So how do we adjust these again I know there are 4 spots were the I'm assuming that can be adjusted but don't want to dabble in something I don't know about.
Also I've tried looking up replacement LED bulbs for our headlights since they come with those and I can't seem to find them am I right to assume that it is all one housing unit unit and does anyone know the hours that these are supposed to allow ?

That agree these things are crazy bright , clear and crisp . My wife has a 2015 optima SXL with the HIDs and I thought those were nice .

Thanks 🤙

Don’t dance with the devil.

Leave the lights alone or have the dealer adjust the aim.

95% chance your lights are as they should be.

Yeah I'm not worried about that I haven't been high beamed though I have not had the vehicle for that long my concern is how long are the hours on the LED's and if wine goes out are they replaceable or do we need to get a whole assembly housing. 🤔

I’m pretty sure the bulbs will be fine for a long time - 125K+ miles. Seems premature to worry about that. Deal with it when the bulb goes bad - don’t manufacture a nonexistent problem.
