What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

Paid exactly sticker price, plus tax and fees - $36,065 here in San Diego - S trim, pretty standard equipment. Put $8k down to avoid being upside down in case some awesome trade opportunity on an SX comes up!

Which dealer? Also looking in SoCal.

North County Kia in Escondido. They were by far the most honest and forthcoming. Team Kia of El Cajon always shows inventory on their site and seem willing to be at sticker price, but they never have the stock they claim online and seem shifty to me in many efforts. At North County their site is accurate and you can get set up with their internet sales leader Adrian Aguirre to be notified every time one comes in. That is what I did and one day I got an email with one I finally decided was okay equipment wise (really wanted EX Premium for middle row buckets and 20” wheels) but settled on an S because it had those just minus some EX features (better seating material, some tech, and some creature comforts like cooled seats, middle row heated seats, and a heated steering wheel). Once I got his email I had the car in my name and home within 8 hours.

appreciate the speedy response.

I picked up a Moss/Dune Telluride SXP at Wagner Kia in Shrewsbury, MA this morning that we bought off the lot. I’d recommend them, as it was a quick and painless purchase over text and email, and we paid MSRP with no rebates. For those in the Boston area, Quirk Kia in Manchester, NH is also willing to sell at MSRP, but sold its only SX models last week, though say they have more on the way. Lev Kia in Framingham is also willing to sell at MSRP, and we had placed an order there per the recommendation of others on the forum, but got tired of waiting — they have a black/black SXP in stock. The area dealers that wouldn’t back off their markups for me were Dan O’Brien (+$5k), Kia of Nashua (+$5k), Herb Chambers Kia (+$5k), and Kia of Attleboro (+$1k). And Herb Chambers and Kia of Nashua sold the SXs we were interested in last week. It felt good to buy a car during COVID — nice to be able to provide a bit of volume to a sales team that clearly isn’t doing its usual level of business.

Thank you to all on this forum who posted about your experiences, as well as the creators of the VIN lookup tool — all very helpful for tracking one of these down. And what an incredible car — it’s hard for me to believe that Kia can profitably sell these for <$50k.

I just noticed the latest Tellurides (4/10/2020 sticker) have a lower sticker price by about $325 dollars, on the LX AWD st least. Anyone hear anything about this?

Asked for a quote online. You guys weren't kidding (the quote was MSRP). I like the car, but I think I'm going with a pilot. I just can't seem to get myself to pay full price for a car. Maybe I've listened to Dave Ramsey too much (now I'm considering a used 2-3 yr old car-haha).

If you're listening to your inner Dave Ramsey, go make a deal on a 2-3 ur old used Sorento with low mileage. Seriously. Then, get a used Telluride in 3 years.

If you want a Telluride why wait it’s only money. Paid 1.5K over MSRP (included Mud Guards, Solar Protection Package, Nitrogen Filled Tires and 1 free oil change) and have no regrets was in and out in 2 hrs purchased off lot. 0.9% for 48 months.

Why wait? I'm trying to change my family tree... haha. Baby step 6 right now!! Anyone know of a forum where I can check out prices paid on sorentos? These cars drop by 50% in 2-3 years. Wow!

Maybe because money is a scarce resource, and nobody has an unlimited supply. Although you don’t seem to mind parting with your supply for a bunch of BS in return. It sure is curious

My post actually made me realize that I was being ungratefully for the position my Lord and Savior put me in to be able to take BS in return for something so insignificant. I apologize to everyone that is not in the same position my post was very insensitive.

I picked up my Gravity Grey/Black SX-P last week from Cape & Islands Kia in Yarmouth, MA. Paid MSRP, less Kia financing rebate. We signed papers via FedEx/email, and they registered and prepped the vehicle and then delivered it to me (about 90 minutes away). I found the vehicle on the locator website, and was able to make the purchase while it was still on the truck on its way to the dealership. I’d highly recommend them - the sales team was very responsive via text/email/phone, and it was a painless transaction. I had been looking for the Gravity Grey SX-P for a while, but most dealerships in the Boston area were still charging over MSRP (of hinting that they were, but would only talk numbers once the vehicle I wanted was allocated), and the few that I found that were charging MSRP didn’t have the Gravity Grey SX-P in their allocations. Cape & Island Kia didn’t play any of those games. They also match Muncie Kia’s price for an extended warranty.

I think my post was kind of mean, too. Sorry about that and congratulations on your new car. It is only money, after all.

Happy to hear that you were able to pick that up at MSRP. Wagner was horrible about pricing when I visited in early March (pre-COVID shutdowns), they were looking to charge $5+k over MSRP. They had a Moss/Dune SXP sitting on the lot since January (VIN ending in 4066) - but weren't budging on their mark-up. They called me a couple of weeks ago telling me they had "good news" and could work a bit on the price, but by then I had already found the Gravity Grey vehicle I wanted from a dealer that wasn't playing games.

Interesting how Wagner has changed its tune, at least for now — they’ve sold all of their in stock inventory, other than an LX. And while our VIN is different, it sounds like otherwise the same car as you saw. Anyhow, congrats on the gravity gray — beautiful color, and one that I haven’t seen in the Boston area yet!

What was the ”locator website” that you used?

What was the ”locator website” that you used?

The Telluride VIN Lookup Website - Telluride Lookup
I searched for the trim, color, and options I wanted, and then looked to see if any of those new vehicles were heading to any dealerships near me. Once I found the vehicle I wanted, I reached out to the dealerships to see if the vehicle was available and took it from there.
