No 8 seat configuration for SX. Just call Fort Bend Kia and tell them you want to order a Telluride at MSRP. They are a good dealership. But, they may not be taking SX orders right now if their order book is too long. I think their wait is 6+ months. Anyway, call them and find out.

We purchased our SX Prestige yesterday at MSRP, $49,675, in Salinas, CA. It is Ebony Black with Dune Brown seats and towing package, plus floor mats, cargo net, interior lighting and mud guards. We were actually looking for SX P in Dark Moss with the Dune Brown seats, but compromised on the exterior color and added features to get the vehicle at MSRP. We had started our search in the San Jose area, but dealers there are hiking up the prices by about 10K.

According to the Salinas dealer, MY Kia, they are one of only two dealerships in CA that are selling at MSRP. I had asked them earlier if ordering was possible, but they aren't taking any at this time. Our vehicle had arrived two days earlier and was actually "sold" to someone else who had pre-ordered, but they decided not to take it because it wasn't quite what they were looking for, or something like that. We happened to show up just at the right time.

It's an awesome vehicle, and is quite elegant in black; but it will be a chore to keep it clean.

I bought a 2021 SX (non prestige) black copper at one of the dealerships in Central Florida over weekend. it marked up to 56k+, they only willing to take 1k off and take my mini-van for 7k (kbb value: 8k) at first, then manager offered 13k for the trade in just as I was about to walkout. Thought it was a fair deal, but the catch was I had use their finance for 84 mths under its ridiculous 6.24% apr for 6 mths before I could refinance else where.

It is a beautiful car but that sounds like a terrible deal. Them taking your van at 13k offsets a lot of that mark up, but sheesh.
What's stopping you from re financing right now? Was there a contractual agreement? If not, I'd refinance right now.

I don't miss the van a bit, and it's definitely does not worth 13k :), and Yes, it is required on the agreement, the finance guy bought it to my attention when doing the paperwork.

Hi,
I wonder why people are going crazy paying 10k markup over the MSRP means you will be paying more then 60k for the Telluride if you look around there is a very nice and luxury mid suv genesis GV 80 starting at 48k. I was trying to buy the Telluride but there is a shortage of the supply i changed my mind and i am buying this nice car

To each there own. You’re comparing apples to oranges. I’m not advocating spending that much for a Telluride, but what I’m saying is that 60k figure you mentioned would be for a fully loaded SX/P + markup

You said GV 80 STARTING at 48k, which is more or less the top line price for a SX/P MSRP.

to get comparable Features in that luxary vehicle, you’re looking at $70k. I just don’t see how the vehicles compare (it’s nice though). Good luck!

Has anyone admitted to buying at 10k over yet?
The Telluride I test drove was an EX that the dealership sold at $10k over to someone from Reno that drove down to the Bay Area to buy back in June.

I only got to drive down and around the block to a nearby large mall parking lot since they didn't want me putting too many miles on it before they picked it up the following day.

Sure you are. This car is not even for sale yet. The price is a mirage to attract you to a luxury vehicle that will cost substantially more than the Telluride...and this is before they markup the hell out of it.

Lol. An odd one and only post from @Ryan123. Hmm.

I‘m a couple hours from NOVA and hear they’re getting $10K over. But a dealer 30 mi from me is selling at MSRP. Said starting for LX is $35K and the one they got in the other day sold immediately. There’s a loaded SX still on the lot.

Hi, do you mind sharing which dealership? I’m in MD looking for an SX. Thank you!

Parsons Kia, ask for Matt Herman (NOT the other Matt, there are 2), MH is pretty straight shooter I think, has great reviews on Google so I went for him

Good luck and hurry! (They have more coming Oct 5 - I don’t mind telling you.) He couldn’t tell me exactly what, but I’ve decided to go for a Palisade, I think

If you’ve not already checked, Hagerstown Kia is $5+ over MSRP and they will not let you test drive!

MH let me, no problem. Take Rt 11 to 37 from the dealership and loop around. A good route for testing!

Just purchased my SXP/T in green moss/grey today. Ordered in 11/2019, so it was quite a wait. Big thanks to this forum and a shout out to @StephenCantrelle for helping me with tracking. If it wasn’t for him, the dealer probably would have sold it out from under me. Traded in my 2019 VW Atlas SEL-P and paid MSRP ($49,015) less the $500 financing rebate. No dealer adds. Only doc fees and TTL were added to the purchase price.

So excited to be part of the Telluride family!

So any good dealerships in Texas that won't jack up the price? Prefer Austin or San Antonio. Not in a hurry and I can wait 6 months if necessary.

Definitely not near Austin or SA. DFW area has a few I believe. I think they are listed in the good dealer thread.

The only place I found was here in Houston at Fort Bend Kia. They are taking custom orders at MSRP which can take anywhere from 6 to 8 months for delivery. They can take deposit over the phone and will walk through all the options you want. From my talks with them, they were pretty upfront with everything and very helpful with all my questions. In a couple of months, I plan on ordering with them and found that they have been mentioned a couple of times in other threads with positive reviews.

Apparently, Moritz KIA in Ft Worth sells for $1900 over MSRP (some sort of tint package upcharge). I've ordered with Fort Bend Kia as well.
