Yu, I said the same thing Kia is lining their pockets little by little. I liked them better as underdogs. Too bad I just can't fall in love with the Atlas!

I'm guessing they are tired of the dealers reaping $ they wanted, and now want their piece of the pie. Should have just priced the car a couple grand higher in the first place.

Ordered SXL Moss Green with lite grey Napa on Jan.15th 2020 in Ont Canada .Dealer called today to tell me it would be in in 2 wks.Only problem was it had black interior and I had ordered Lite grey.Told him to reorder . Wonder how long I will wait this time ?

I wouldn't go that far. Kia had to tread lightly. Better to underestimate from their perspective. You still have people saying, "I never thought I would ever look at a Kia" in the year 2020. Buyers are fickle when it comes to brand reputation/recognition. Now that people thinks it's "okay" to shop for a Kia, the whole brand can elevate but it took a break-out product to do it. The Stinger was too niche to pull it off. The Telluride struck gold due to mass appeal and attractive pricing.

Still nothing! Havent reached back out because I was kind of annoyed they specifically told me "We will know on Wednesday!" And then had no info.

Just kind of back to waiting and not caring so I dont get excited again haha

I ordered mine on 12/30/19 was told it should be here beginning of April. I just got a call from the dealer yesterday telling me the order just got accepted and they gave a date for receiving the car which is May 5th. That is 4 months and couple days! BTW this dealership is one of the big ones here in Michigan. Did you guys pay a deposit to place the order? I paid $1000.

I paid a sizeable deposit more than $1000 but I was ok with it as I was already planning on paying most upfront. Put deposit on CC and got miles.

Long story.... I placed an order locally on 11/1, and Kia cancelled it a couple weeks later. Local dealer called Kia to argue, but wasn't successful. He said he'd continue to plead his case to get an order filled, but he wasn't optimistic. He suggested I go ahead and order from a larger dealer if I really wanted to get one. So I did. But then, miraculously, a VIN popped up yesterday for my local dealer that matched my original order. The one at Moritz Alliance is probably still 2 or 3 weeks out. That one is up for grabs now - unless it's already spoken for (which is probably likely).

Is your original dealer in rockford? I track their vins and saw that exact same combo pop up yesterday.

No, it's in Abilene, Texas. I've been watching all the Tuesday VINs, as that's been the only times Black Copper SXPs have been popping.

I placed an order at a Georgia dealership on December 26 and haven't heard anything yet. I just inquired again, but my dealer said 'It was not picked up on this weeks allocation, so we re-entered it with a high priority of #1 again" and gave me an "updated" order number. Anyone have any insights on what exactly this means?

I am trying to navigate my way into order tracking, dealer Hendrick Kia of Cary, NC, they gave a screenshot of the Dealer Request Entry submitted but I am unsure how to track that order if at all possible before VIN is assigned?

Not possible at this time unfortunately. Ask when it will go into KFOS.

This is what we ordered. I have not heard a peep. I would love to have the Black Cooper and Dune sooner than what I imagine is still months out. We ordered at the beginning of December.

Yea I know all that. I ordered back in November and have the Request ID from back then. I'm fairly sure mine just got allocated this Month as they told me it would be here in March last week.

I just think it is weird that they weren't able to give me an ETA since last week I was told "You'll have an ETA on Wednesday" and now today they said they didn't have it yet. The dealership hasn't been shady at all - It just feels like they are afraid to tell me anything that might get changed.

I ordered in Nov and didn’t receive a “Request ID”. They said nothing about it being picked up yet. Just the deposit taken and silence. I remain hopeful nonetheless.
