Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Fowler Kia was an A+ experience. Placed an order 07/2022 and was quoted 6-8 months. Received a text on Tuesday last week saying someone backed out of theirs and matched our spec (EXP N/T Wolf Grey/Black). We just had to be there within 2 days to get it. Was already leaving our vacation on Thursday so we changed our flight to Denver. Needed a car seat and our salesperson Ana picked one up at Target we had waiting and they brought it to the airport so we could get back to the dealership, sign papers and hit the road for an 8+ hr trip.

Really happy with their service and the entire process.

Minneapolis dealers @ MSRP:
Luther Bloomington
Luther Inver Grove Heights
Cornerstone

Skip all others, above MSRP.

Not sure why this is in the good dealer thread. Paying 20% over MSRP?
Wouldn't a good dealer thread post be highly subjective, based on my experience only? Does the sticker price mean anything when trading a vehicle in? It doesn't to me. I believe I (the subject) got a good deal paying $19K on an Nightfall SX Prestige while trading in my 2020. End of story!

I've been driving the vehicle we all love since 2019. I haven't ordered one and waited a year to get it, I've been enjoying it. I've now had 2 SX Prestige Tellurides, paid over sticker price for both, and with the trade in value of the 2020 somehow only paid an average $36,000 for each of them. Dam GOOD deal in my book! Thanks Matt Blatt Kia for making it happen.

Paying over MSRP is never a good deal, no matter what the circumstances. What if your average cost was $34,000 each, wouldn't that be better? Idk how much over MSRP you paid, but the only reason you feel like it worked in your favor is the historically inflated used car values. In reality, they probably fleeced you on both ends. It's what they do.

Historically paying MSRP is never a good deal either if you want to go there. If we didn't want the Telluride we all could go elsewhere but we are all here trying to make the best deal possible. It is what is is right now, if you want in you're getting screwed! I know that but I wanted the Telluride the minute I first read about it. Its been difficult to get at or over MSRP since pretty much day one. I am thrilled I was able to trade in my 2020 and bring down the average cost of both SX Prestige Telly's to $36k. I'm sure someone has a better deal out there but I am happy, not sure how it could have gone better in the current environment.

With used prices collapsing, it's never a good idea to be underwater (i.e paying $60K for a $50K MSRP car) since if you total the out the ADM/markup plus depreciation.

I've heard of folks trading in used 2020 straight up for a new 2022 of the same trim without paying a dime out of pocket. Those days are gone now since auction prices are probably 10% lower than it was 2-3 months ago. I had online offers of $61K for my Telluride SX back in May (was just curious).. I think they are all now $46K or lower.

Hey I hear ya!
I heard about those crazy deals in early spring of this year and went out looking only to find dealers wanting to screw me on the front and back end of any deal so I walked away.

I'm with JPC on this one, even though I try to find best deal myself and wouldn't pay over MSRP, I agree that he is loving and driving a car. Got good experience overall as per his/her criteria, and icing on the cake his average cost is low.
Let the man enjoy

I give shout out to Jake Sweeney Kia near Cincinnati . I was enquiring for upcoming 2023's at a few dealers around Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky who sell at MSRP. Luckily, Jake Sweeney has the exterior and interior color options in SX trim and sell at sticker price but adds $1500 exterior and interior protection package. Immediately placed deposit last week on 29th. Initially car was scheduled to arrive during week of October 11th but got a call on Friday saying that the car will be delivered on 3rd October. Went yesterday and picked up the car. Order to delivery time - 5 days. I should say i was extremely lucky as the sales man mentioned that they are getting 10 more in next 2 weeks but they are trying to match with who have already placed order before. They couldn't find any one for the interior color as its new for 2023. The window sticker says "navy gray" which when i looked in brochure on this forum says "Deep Navy/Misty Gray" . Steering wheel, Dash under windshield upper door trim and drive shift knob have deep navy which is only noticeable (which i liked) when seen in bright day light or else it looks black. This is their 2nd 2023 they sold.
Exterior : White pearl
Interior : Deep Navy/Misty Gray
package : SX

Drove back home to Indianapolis and loved the drive. Tons of options and safety features. Dual screens and specially supervision cluster is awesome. They gave all season floor mats for free (not sure every car gets it). While taking delivery, a person was going over all options and explaining features to me in the car and while leaving he introduced himself as Sweeney and owner of the dealership who is extremely passionate, down to earth and humble person.

Jeff Wyler in ohio also selling at sticker and they had Red/Black EX and Black/Black SXP but i wasn't interested in them. All dealers around Indy are adding 5-10K market adjustment on 2023 models.

Congrats! Fix your sideways pictures lol.

Anyone have a dealer in DFW selling at MSRP?

Moritz FW, Kia Frisco. You might still have to deal with their packages though.

Thank you! Where did you source this info? Last time I reached out to Kia Frisco they had a market adjustment. Will ping them again to see if still the case.

We did visit them once and had called as well for 2023. They say no market adjustment but their package price is ridiculous - as good as market adjustment.

My wife was able to negotiate deal over the phone with Mark at Kia of Anniston to buy a 2023 Telluride S. No dealer addons or adjustments about 3k over msrp. Dealership is near Georgia/Alabama border so drove from Atlanta area to pick up car and we just signed paperwork. The entire process took 30 - 60 minutes. He said he has worked with clients from other states as well. His email is mark@mykiastore.com.

I was there this weekend. Confirmed no “market adjustment” but do require $5k in dealer ons which aren’t anywhere close to $5k in value.

Can recommend Arapahoe Kia in Centennial, CO. Ordered in March, arrived in September. They stuck to MSRP as stated. I used USAA for financing and used Montway.com to find transport. Though some complained about forced fees or financing, I didn't have any of that with Arapahoe. I'd definitely use them again.

If you’re near the Midwest there is no better dealer than Lou Fusz Kia. No games, no add ons, MSRP with a reasonable DOC fee. No pressure at all. Very pleased with Lou Fusz.
