Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

What’s the wait time or do they have them available to pickup today?
I ordered mine on 11/19 from Longmont, CO (originally told me 4-6 months) They just called me 2 days ago to offer me one that another buyer backed out of. I am picking it up this Friday. So excited

I just put in an order with Fowler Kia, for a 2023 SX Prestige Black on Black. Decided to drop the Rear Seat entertainment option as all my kids have iPads and Bose headphones. We just got a 2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy last month and both the wife and I love it. We considered buying another but thought we would get the sibling so we don't have literally the exact same vehicles. They said 4-6 months and are sending over the deposit paperwork sometime soon. Once I get it home wife will chose her daily, I'll take the other. So basically I'll be seat memory number 2 in both vehicles as best I can assume... :ROFLMAO::LOL:

I just picked up my EX XLine at Fowler this past Friday. I was told 6 months but 2 weeks later I was offered one because another buyer backed out. They mentioned a few buyers backing out because the rise in interests rates. I originally ordered the rear seat entertainment also, but removed after reading all the bad reviews.

15+ hours drive home through the snow to SoCal was beautiful!!

Hart in Kia in Salem sells at MSRP with no dealer add ons. They’re low volume so you’ll be waiting around 8 months.
🙌🏿 🙌🏿 put my deposit ($500 non-refundable) down on an EX X-Line Gravity Grey w/Terracotta interior. no required add ons or anything. I also didn't choose any options (initial sticker shock), so feels like it's a basic build, but oh well 😁. I figure floor mats, trunk organizer items, etc, I can snag at the parts department or online later.
they said about 6-12 months, but he's seen his customers get theirs from 4 to 7 months.
he mentioned he'd get notified of VIN info like 2 months before delivery and would pass it on to me then. wondering if that seems normal?

Not sure of what my drive time will be. But if it is in winter I will order an identical set of 18" and have them swapped at the dealer or nearest tire shop to drive home on studs. I will be headed back to Vancouver, WA just outside Portland, OR. So since we don't really get snow, we get glare ice storms, I always run studded tires in winter. The AWD system in the Palisade did amazing for me on the studs 70+ miles in the hyper packed snow on MT Hood this last weekend. Was able to maintain between 40-60 MPH on for all intents and purposes ice. IMG_2129.webpIMG_8503.webp

I worked with Alex from Finnin Kia in Dubuque, IA for my Sorento lease three years ago and now the Telluride. They’ve been very transparent, give me all the numbers up front and it always matches my own calculations. There’s no shadiness going on, they’re not trying to hide anything or mislead you to a poor deal - they just give you a good price and lay it all out without pushing anything. Great experience! Even though we’re now 3 hours away, we still went with them for the Telluride (and will very likely again in 3 years for the next lease/purchase if we stick with Kia).
I worked with Lucas and Jared from Finnin Kia in Dubuque, IA for my 2023 Telluride EX. Like said here, there is nothing funny going on. Totally transparent and charged me straight MSRP plus $349 for Pulse. We live in the Chicago area and everything here is way marked up (approx. 30% over MSRP) making even used Telluride's unaffordable. Decided to take a trip to Dubuque and ordered it. The staff is very transparent and they communicate extremely well. Told me in April that it would be a good 9 month wait but kept me informed along the way. I will pick mine up first week of January but already told what my out the door price will be after they put my trade-in Durango in writing. The 3 hour drive to Finnin was well worth the effort. Can't say enough about what an honest dealership Finnin Kia of Dubuque is.

New here....looking for a dealer in South Florida (but willing to drive if there are none down here) that doesn't charge over MSRP and will allow us to do an order if they can't easily find the exact trim and color combination we want.

Thanks!!!

First time poster -- I live in Phoenix but as others have stated its impossible to get a deal here. Tempe Kia has what I'm looking for but is doing 7K+ markups, no MSRP orders. I contacted Royal Kia in Tucson regarding an MSRP order and they require $2700 in dealer add ons (Total surface protection $2155. Lifetime paint protection from fading, also seat protection from stains, tire and wheel coverage for 7 years, unlimited claims. 0 deductible. Then a dent protection for 5 years. Tint for $399 and tile which is a key tracker for $199).

Went with Fowler this morning (Getting an SX-P-XLine Midnight Blue with Terra Cotta interior,). 4-6 month estimated wait time for MSRP order. Did all correspondence through internet after filling out an order form. For 1K I got all the options I wanted and don't need to spend an additional $2700 on things I don't want. $100 to fly to Denver and will enjoy the ride back to Phoenix in the spring through the mountains :).

Saw the Midnight Blue with terra cotta in person at Tempe Kia yesterday on a SX-P-Pro and its stunning. I wasn't expecting to like the terra cotta but I feel it gives the car a classy feel and the seats are so soft! The all black interior in Phoenix worries me as it will get hot!

Thanks for the advice in this forum about Fowler! So nice to just get what I want without all the dealer hassles. <3

Congrats! Fowler KIA is the best. Be prepared for them to call you early with your car. I’m from SoCal. Placed an order with Fowler last month. They called me 2 weeks later because someone backed out of an order (higher interest rates). Flew to Denver ($38 on Frontier) the following week, then drove through snow on my way back home to CA. Love my car!

Mo Sayah at Boniface-Hiers Kia in Melbourne, FL and all of the staff at that dealership were very helpful. I bought at below MSRP with a great rate and they were very patient at the end of month and year when my credit took 3 days to unfreeze. Wow!

Give them your business!

I just placed deposit with Arapahoe at MSRP. Lets see. Dealt with Rima. Mostly by text - she was prompt, courteous and responsive. She also said the $400 reimbursement for flight and uber. Hopefully they maintain the deal and honor it. Out of state buyer here as the only dealer in NV outside of Vegas, said they dont have any allocation until 2024. sad I couldnt help locally and they said they are very small volume dealer. They only had 8 new cars on the lot.

Castle Kia of McHenry, IL is advertising $1000 (discount) below MSRP. But get this - they add a market adjustment after that (only found that at the end)!!! ha ha so they just lowered market adjustment. Matt Wollman was the person I dealt with - he was rude and wouldn't answer the question on what the out of door price is. Just wanted me to fly in and then hash out a deal. So this is their "Internet Sales manager" - effectively a tool who only wants to do business in person? so why even have an internet sales division.

I just bought a Telluride last week from Koons Kia in Owings Mills, MD. They were great - dealt with Carey Olivis there and they got to a great price!

Just took delivery of our SX Prestige X-Pro from Coughlin Kia in Lancaster, OH. Flew out, they picked me up at airport, took 35 minutes to finalize the deal and I was on the road, 1300 miles back to ND. MSRP, no markups. Great experience, I worked with Jennifer Iser.

no markup? no dealer add-ons?
It was originally listed at $1K above MSRP (right on their website) but I was able to negotiate down to MSRP. The only fee/markup from the dealer was a $500 dealer processing fee. Other than that it was:
- MSRP: $47,525 (EX X-Line, with Ebony Black and carpet mats)
- Plates ($58), transfer fee ($48), temp tags ($15), lien ($5), title ($39), electronic fee ($20), tire tax ($4): $324
- Sales tax of: $2851.50
- TOTAL PRICE: $51,250.50

They were great to deal with.

Anyone here recently get theirs from Lev Kia in Framingham, MA? I ordered mine in Feb 2022 (at MSRP) and was told 8-10 months. Got a call a few weeks ago about how I'll be updated to the 2023 model (X-Line, SX-P with Mahogany Interior) and Dec to Feb 2023 was the timeframe.

I'm wondering if in the next month or two is realistic or have others waited much longer than anticipated?

Did you mean Terracotta interior? The X-line models and mahogany interior cannot be combined

Sorry, yes...thanks for the correction. I guess I'm more concerned around estimated vs actual delivery from this dealership but gave my specs in case it's helpful.
