Here is an overdue update:
My order was placed on 3 Dec. Harry kept me updated along the way and on 16 Feb provided an update with the estimated build, sticker, and delivery dates. The build was estimated to start on 18 March and dealer delivery on 7 April. As promised the sticker/VIN showed up on Failcat on 18 March. And a few mins after I spotted it on Failcat, I got an e-mail from Harry with his copy of the Monroney. Everything looked perfect so far. I got a surprise call from Harry on 24 March saying that the Telluride was delivered and sitting in the lot. He was so surprised because it snuck in the transit shipment a few weeks early.

I picked up my Telluride on 26 March :) Drove home in a rare spring WV blizzard of course.

I've put 1,300 wonderful miles so far on my new Telly. Very pleased with the whole process, Harry and the team at Freedom Kia are great. I wish they were closer to continuing using them for servicing, etc.

Harry made the whole buying process incredibly smooth. He got me good dealer financing rates, beating my bank by a few basis points. We did the PW online the night prior. That took 20 mins, with no pressure to buy anything, and the next day I went out to Morgantown via a small airline and flew IAD to MGW. Harry picked me up at the airport and we were at the dealership for about 1.5 hrs. Most of that time was honestly enjoying Harry and Freedom's hospitality and of course learning all the Telluride features.

First time poster, long time follower.

In October I placed an order at my dealer for a 2022 Telluride S AWD Gravity Gray. My dealer is smaller and it 2 hours from Pittsburgh. My wife and I are originally from Johnstown, Pa and the dealer is Team Kia. They are slower to receive allocation as they aren't one of the "big guys". Wasn't in much of a rush to begin with as we had 2 reliable vehicles to get us around. Sadly for us our needs changed and we needed one sooner than later. With how Kia handles orders there wasn't much my dealer could do to expedite the process. My wife and I's frustration grew as we saw thru Failcat numerous Gravity Gray AWD S models arriving at local dealers for stock in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. I would reach out and call these dealers and they were 3, 4, 5 and even 10K over MSRP. Which is fairly common. We refused to just hand someone that money. Finally my dealer called an actually had an open allocation on an EX and we jumped at it. I can't thank Jeremy and his staff at Team Kia. They stick to selling at MSRP. If you have time and can wait I highly recommend using him and his staff. To the dealers around me currently...they won't see a dime from me for service work or any work moving forward. I work at a dealer which increases my frustration even more, I suggest instead of handing out money and paying over MSRP that if you must purchase try to negotiate for accessories, etc as they contribute to gross margin for dealerships. Although we have another month till it gets here, we are overjoyed that we didn't spend over MSRP, paid 6k more than originally expected but got to move up into an EX. Good luck to all and thanks for all the knowledge I have gained from reading over your stories. Once again...Team Kia selling at MSRP for anyone in Western Pa.

I just received my S trim Telluride today, a total of 2 months from Mark Martin Kia in Batesville Arkansas. I had messaged my salesman on March 14th,2022 to tell them I would take a 7 passenger Telluride instead of 8 passenger EX as I originally wanted. The salesman Rob Sargeson called me immediately and said they had an allocation for an S trim so I took it. They put the order in that day and March 15th it was picked up by Kia with ETA of 5-15-22. As I said I received the Telluride today at MSRP and $99.00 doc fee that’s it. They gave me no problem with extended warranty or additional accessories. I will be using them again. If you are anywhere in this area it would be worth it to check them out. I love my Telluride and to those waiting I hope things work out for all of you soon!! Forgot to mention a full tank of gas and first oil change free.

I'm ordering with Freedom as well! There was the $499 doc fee, but also a $120 "Government Fee" - did you have this too? Plus they required me to add at least 3 accessories.

Overall, great experience so far. I'm in northern Alabama and am planning to fly up and drive back once it comes in. I was told 8-10 months to be extra generous, but apparently some have been coming in 2-5 months recently. We shall see...

Coral Springs Kia, Coral Springs, FL. Ask for Sam - (954) 650-4509. I got today my brand new 2022 Telluride LX Gravity Gray, out of the lot with a markup of $3,000. Which I was not too happy to pay, but is (by far) the best I could find anywhere in Florida. Sam was knowledgeable, helpful and supportive throughout the process, I cannot imagine a better experience. Unfortunately I cannot afford to wait 6+ months for a new ride.

Fun fact, this is my third post in this forum. You may wonder: How´s that if you just got your ride? Because I already got a 2021 Telluride LX Gravity Gray in August 2020, but that's a company car that I will be returning this week...

Obviously I am very happy with the car, else I would not "repeat". 18,000 miles with not a single problem, always a pleasure to drive. I notice some improvements in the 2022 version (larger screen, updated logos, clima instead of A/C...). Way to go, Kia.

Pictures below just taken in my driveway... neighbors need to be thinking... WTF? :ROFLMAO:

+1 for Sara and managment at Kia of Puyallup. Great service and experience picking my ride up a few weeks ago. They were honest, no BS, and honored every part of the deal we made when i placed my order 9 months ago.

I'm in Austin and got the same from the local dealers. I can't believe people are willing to pay that much over sticker, but apparently they are around here.
I ordered mine from Moritz Kia in Hurst. They will sell at MSRP + $845 in dealer add ons. They'll sell to you if you live in Texas.
My sales person was Kirk Potter, and he's been great so far.
What's the latest with your order? I also ordered from Moritz Kia in Hurst in early January and I have not received any concrete updates.

Ordered from Harry at Freedom Kia at Morgantown, WV. Incredibly smooth experience overall. Great team to work with.
Black Kia Telluride - SX Prestige
Order Jan 15th
Delivered April 26th

Good to hear. I ordered 3/17 through Freedom (different salesman) so I’m really hoping mine isn’t far behind yours. It’s been great communication so far, I’m hoping the rest of the experience continues this way!

I bought my 2022 EX Premium from Lucas with Kia of Muncie, IN. I live in NC but we’ll worth the flight and ride home. Kia of Muncie was recommended from this forum. They were fantastic to work with. I actually have an SX on order with them as well. My wife will take over the EX and we‘ll sell her car.
It’s been about 7 months since we’ve ordered our SX. I know their on top of it. can Anybody share how long their 2022 has been taking to deliver? TIA.

I have been waiting for my SX since Aug 9th of last year. That is 10 months as of June 9 th. But what is one suppose to do. This will end some day just not today. I hope at this point it will be a 2023. But now that I have said that , It will be picked up tomorrow.

Do you live in Puyallup city limits? When I contacted Sara I was told they were not currently taking orders from non-puyallup residents (call back in May or June) and that they were $2k over list price. Is that same as your experience?

@yDD5 - I do not, but I did place my order in June/July of 2021, it was likely they did not have that policy then. I did pay a $2k markup but they sold me on the free oil changes for life and another 10 year extended power train warranty they offer. I think they offer this with any new car purchased but many other dealers I called were not offering any other services just a pure markup. Hope you have luck locating another dealer willing to work with you on a car and bummer the Puyallup dealership wasn't able to help.

I hear you, but I really don't think people will have that long a memory. They will go where the price is best. if it's local, they will go there. If not, they will find somewhere else.

A couple months ago, one of the reps from Parsons Kia in VA posted a similar explanation why they were going to start charging a fee on top of MSRP for out of area buyers. Essentially it boiled down to the fact that the dealership didn't make much off selling off MSRP, and they wanted to get vehicles in the hands of local buyers who would return for service. That hit home for me as a smart/understandable business decision on the dealer's part.
While that sounds good, Parsons are liars. I know because thats my local dealership, a few minutes from me, and when I was ready to buy last month they were charging $5k over MSRP to everyone, even us locals.

EV shoppers have this great MSRP tool online that is constantly gets updated. Very effective. What I observed in the past 2 months, everyone stops MSRP selling, dealers are getting into profiteering before the hard-landing comes. EV Dealer Markup Tracker

Just received our SXP yesterday after putting a deposit down through NowCar in mid march. Found out about the site from this forum and was extremely happy with the process. Ended up paying about 500 over MSRP

3/16 - Deposit submitted to get on wait list
4/9 - Allocated order slot
4/14 - Order picked up by factory with 5/24 ETA
5/4 - VIN provided, ETA moved to 5/17
5/14 - ETA pushed to 5/25
5/25 - Vehicle arrived at dealer
6/3 - Delivered

Just over 10 weeks from first contact with them to us having our new '22 SXP in the drive way. Highly recommend NowCar to anyone on the fence.

I had a great experience at Nucar Kia in Tilton NH. I live in Mass, and all dealers here were charging $7k-$10k markups. So I expanded my search to NH and found that Nucar was only marking up by about $2,500 and had a super fast turnaround time. I got my 2022 S AWD in about 7 weeks and couldn’t be happier with the process.

Did you have a trade-in? Did they offer fair value?
